Overview of The 2025 Volvo V60
The Volvo V60 is a wagon with room for five passengers and plenty of cargo at the rear. You can configure it with plenty of ground clearance for light off-roading or a more performance-oriented style for nimble and quick driving on paved surfaces. The Cross Country version comes with 7.8 inches of ground clearance and a 247-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 258 lb-ft of torque, making the journey to your favorite outdoor getaway easy. It also has an all-wheel drive for extra performance and control on challenging surfaces.
The plug-in hybrid V60 Polestar Engineered features two electric motors and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering an incredible 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque. It has a lower ground clearance for optimum performance on paved surfaces.
Trim Levels of the 2025 Volvo V60
If you opt for the Cross Country, you can choose from two trims: the Plus and Ultra. The Ultra has replaced the Ultimate trim for 2025 and offers additional paint colors. If you prefer a plug-in hybrid, the Polestar Engineered is in a single trim and has a starting price of just over $70,000. The Cross Country's base Plus trim costs around $51,000, a more suitable proposition if you don't want to break the bank.
The V60 Cross Country's base model already contains many luxurious touches in the cabin, including leather upholstery and quality trim pieces throughout. You'll also benefit from dual-zone climate control and a moonroof. Up front, you and your passenger can look forward to power-adjustable and heated seats. One optional package adds heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel.
The Cross Country's Ultra trim makes the cabin even more luxurious. It includes Nappa leather upholstery and quad-zone climate control for a more personalized temperature. You also get ventilated front seats and a head-up display, which allows easy monitoring of the Volvo's performance without taking your eyes off the road.
The Polestar Engineered offers black Nappa leather upholstery and a heated sports steering wheel. The 12-inch digital gauge cluster provides all the information you'll need about your wagon's performance.
In most trims, you can add all-weather floor mats and cargo trays, a first aid kit, and more must-haves for adventures with your V60. Other optional accessories include load bars and a luggage area cover.
Features of the 2025 Volvo V60
The 2025 Volvo V60's infotainment system provides impressive equipment to complement its upscale cabin. The Plus trim includes a 9-inch touch screen and a 10-speaker stereo for maximum enjoyment of your favorite music. You'll also benefit from Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and wireless device charging to keep your phone fully loaded. A navigation system provides directions and traffic updates along the route to your destination, whether within Mission Viejo or beyond.
The Ultra trim includes an upgraded audio system and the option of an even more high-powered Bowers & Wilkins stereo. The plug-in hybrid variant includes the Bowers & Wilkins system as standard, along with four USB-C ports.
Volvo also equips its V60 wagon with a long list of driver assistance features. Standard tech includes a surround-view camera and front and rear parking sensors to aid maneuvers into tight spots. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist help keep you safe on the highway.
The traffic sign recognition feature projects information from road signs onto your display so you won't miss speed limits or other driving requirements. Rain-sensing windshield wipers help maintain good visibility under all conditions, while the forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking can kick in to avoid collisions. The Volvo V60 also boasts blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
The V60 Polestar Engineered offers additional safety systems. These include pedestrian, cyclist, and large animal detection, slippery road alert, and parallel and perpendicular parking.
Interior Dimensions
It isn't just its ample ground clearance that keeps the 2025 Volvo V60 competitive with many SUVs. Its interior dimensions provide plenty of space, whether you're transporting passengers or cargo. With a full load of five passengers, you can fit 25.5 cubic feet of cargo at the rear, enough for a large load of groceries or a few suitcases for a weekend trip out of town. Folding down the rear row of seats opens up 60.5 cubic feet of storage space, allowing the vehicle to carry bulkier items.
The Volvo V60 offers over 42 inches of legroom in the front, allowing tall drivers and passengers to stretch out. The rear row provides enough legroom for adult occupants, although the 35.2 inches is a bit tighter. The headroom is about the same in both rows: 37.4 inches in the front and 38.1 in the rear. The front seats are well supported and showcase a sporty design.
